MISSION AND VISION
The mission of the UAB Telecommunications Services is the reliable and
economic delivery of the information for our users. We further see our
vision as information anytime and anywhere.
The UAB Telecommunications Services Department exists to provide voice and
Network Services to the
University of Alabama at Birmingham campus and hospital. We
provide consultation services to UAB departments on telephone configurations
and data and video communication issues, such as physical paths and
transmission mediums. Also provided are communication engineering services for
all major renovation and capital projects at UAB. All telephone equipment at
UAB is installed and maintained by our technical staff. Billing assistance for
all telecommunication services is provided as well.

Faculty and Staff: To order new service or make
