JOYCE IANNUZZI
February 5, 1939 - May 7, 2003

Joyce loved UAB.She tirelessly served the students, staff, and faculty of UAB from 1975 until the day of her death. Her vision shaped the fabric of the IT infrastructure that is in use today. She was a colleague, mentor, and honorary mother to many of the IT professionals on the UAB campus. Her contributions to UAB are countless, and the impact of her loss is immeasurable.

The UAB Wall of Honor, prominently housed in the atrium of the Hill University Center, is the highest honor that the university can bestow on one of its own. It was created to memorialize members of the UAB community who, during their lifetime, made outstanding contributions through their actions, efforts, and interactions to the university and to the educational development of students.

Joyce was nominated for this honor by Stan Putnam, Information Systems Specialist III in the Division of Student Affairs, Office of Technology and Research.
