The Vice President for Information Technology is pleased to announce the
creation of the Joyce Iannuzzi Endowed Scholarship for Computer Science and
Technology. This endowment will make scholarship funds available to deserving
students at UAB who are enrolled in computer science or engineering programs,
or to students who have demonstrated outstanding qualities in any field where
computer science and technology are being utilized.
Joyce Iannuzzi loved the students at UAB, and considered them to be the
Institution's greatest asset.
In her 28 years of service to UAB, she never failed to consider the impact that
her decisions would have on the students.
The students she influenced --directly or indirectly-- in the course of her
career, are too numerous to count. It is fitting, therefore, that through this
scholarship in her name, Joyce will continue to touch the lives of generations
of students to come.

FOUNDRY NETWORKS DONATES $25,000 TO IANNUZZI SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The original endowment for this scholarship came from a $25,000
donation made by
Foundry Networks, Inc. Foundry
Networks, a California-based technology company which provides networking
solutions, made this gift in honor of the longstanding relationship it has
enjoyed with UAB, largely due to the influence of Joyce Iannuzzi. It
is with gratitude that UAB acknowledges their generous gift that made this
endowment a reality.
